Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions:
   1. 1.1. “Application Period” means the period commencing on 25 January 2019 and ending on 28 February 2019, both days inclusive, or until otherwise modified.
   2. 1.2. “Geneco” means Geneco by Seraya Energy Pte Ltd.
   3. 1.3. "Geneco Rebates"refers to actual amount use to offset Geneco electricity bills.
   4. 1.4. “Eligible Customer” refers to an individual who:
      1. a. signs up for a new residential electricity account with Geneco only under Get It Fixed 36 plan and is the registered account holder and signs up for a new residential electricity account with Geneco by applying the promotion code “Huat6188”; or
      2. b. signs up for a new residential electricity account with Geneco not under the Give Us A Try (6 months trial plan) and is the registered account holder and signs up for a new residential electricity account with Geneco by applying the promotion code “Huat3188" or "Huat2188”; and
      3. c. is not an existing customer of Geneco at the time of signing up; and
      4. d. does not have a Geneco account that was terminated or closed (whether by the individual or by Geneco) in the last twelve (12) months immediately prior to the commencement of the Application Period;
      5. e. signs up online or at any Geneco’s roadshows and Singtel stores and telesales (inbound and call back). For all Singtel customers, promotion codes are not required to be applied on Geneco website. Refer to Singtel representative for sign-ups.
      6. f. is not an existing employee of either Seraya Energy Pte Ltd, YTL PowerSeraya Pte. Limited or PetroSeraya Pte Ltd. Existing employees can only apply Huat2188 promo code during application of the new electricity contract.
      7. g. is not an immediate family member of the persons referred to in Clause 1.4(f) above, including spouse, children, siblings and parents; and
      8. h. any other person(s) deemed ineligible and/or notified by Geneco as being ineligible from time to time.
   5. 1.5. “Award” refers to S$61.88 or $31.88 or $21.88 Geneco Rebates credited to the Eligible Customer’s Geneco account upon successful sign up of a new residential electricity account with Geneco, which will be used to offset his/her Geneco electricity bills before GST.
2. An Eligible Customer is deemed to have successfully signed up for a new account with Geneco if all the following conditions are met:
   1. 2.1. the Eligible Customer submits an application for Get It Fixed 36 electricity plan with Geneco, available at https://www.geneco.sg/residential/electricity-plans/ during the Application Period; the Eligible Customer successfully applies the promotion code “Huat6188” at the point of signing up; or
   2. 2.2. the Eligible Customer submits an application for any electricity plan with Geneco, excluding the Give Us A Try (6 months trial plan) available at https://www.geneco.sg/residential/electricity-plans/ during the Application Period; the Eligible Customer successfully applies the promotion code “Huat3188 or Huat2188” at the point of signing up; and
   3. 2.3. such application is approved by Geneco within 2 to 4 weeks from the application submission date.
3. Huat6188 promotion code is valid for the first 888 successful new sign-ups only during the Application Period.
4. Huat3188 promotion code is valid for the 2,388 successful new sign-ups only during the Application Period.
5. Huat2188 promotion code is valid for the 8,888 successful new sign-ups only during the Application Period.
6. An Eligible Customer who fulfils the conditions set out in Clause 2 above will receive the Award in the form of a reduction of his/her Geneco electricity bills within sixty (60) days from the date the application is approved. The Award shall not apply if the Geneco account is closed before or on the date that the Award is awarded by Geneco.
7. Geneco reserves the right to amend, suspend, withdraw, vary or terminate the Promotion, including but not limited to replacing the Award with another promotion of similar value at its absolute discretion, and to, vary, add to, or delete any of these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice, including but not limited to the eligibility requirements set out in Clauses 1.4 and 2 and the Application Period under Clause 1.1.
8. Geneco shall not at any time be responsible or held liable for any loss, injury, damage, harm, settlement sums, costs, charges, expenses, actions, penalties, proceedings, claims and demands, arising out of or in connection with the Award.
9. It shall be at Geneco’s absolute discretion to make any decision on all matters relating to this Promotion, including but not limited to the eligibility requirements. Geneco’s decision in relation to such matters shall be final and binding on all customers.
10. Participation in this Promotion shall constitute acceptance of all these terms and conditions set out above and any amendments thereof. These terms shall be read in conjunction with the Electricity Retail Agreement, where relevant, and any other applicable promotional terms and conditions.
